little girls from this town are not to be seen.

You’re never leaving
this little town.

She packed up the car
and didn’t look back
off she set
on a turbulent track.

The original plan
Derailed for a time
hospitals, heart break
and bottles of wine.

But when she arrived, in this little town
nobody told her to tone it down.

Finally a home
a place to grow
no longer wandering
the planet alone.
