Hot on the heels of announcing Dear Earthling… for Light Up Lancaster, we’re thrilled to reveal another brand new installation for autumn 2026: Call My Name, Call Me Home for Light Night Leeds.
Created in collaboration with Leeds’ own musicians Hope & Social, Call My Name, Call Me Home tells the story of a life lived in the city – a life of song and a lifetime of memories in six minutes.
The artwork follows a figure who arrives on a train to start a new life in Leeds. Buildings and walls transform and shift to show fifty years of spaces alive with time and stories. Roads, streets, bars, hospitals and flats form and disappear in this hymn to a city, a poem which maps the journey of a life onto the topography of Leeds.
We’re also delighted to have been able to include Leeds residents in the piece itself, with filming sessions happening right now!
Filled with dazzling projection-mapping visuals, heartfelt storytelling and original music, you can expect a glorious celebration of a city and its people.
Visitors to Light Night Leeds will be able to see Call My Name, Call Me Home projected onto the Queens Hotel in the city centre on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October, 6pm-9.30pm.
