In 1997 Jerry Linenger left earth for a 5 month stay on the Mir space station, leaving behind his baby son. Throughout his stay he wrote a series of letters to be sent back home. Funny, moving, thoughtful and filled with longing, these letters offer a small insight into an extraordinary experience.
Festival favourites, imitating the dog, bring their newest projection work to the festival, this time in the majestic surroundings of the Priory Church.
Combining live music, spectacular visuals and live performance, Dear Earthling… is an elegiac reflection on what it is to leave life behind and explore beyond human boundaries. It is both a hymn to absence and loss and a celebration of what it is to be alive.
