War of the Worlds – Directors’ Note
18th March 2026
We are delighted to be involved in this year’s Moonlight Walk for St John’s Hospice in Lancaster.
As part of their 40th Anniversary celebrations, St. John’s Hospice are inviting their amazing walkers and supporters to share a few words about what the hospice means to them.
We will then project these words onto the walls of Lancaster Castle on the night of the walk, creating what we hope is a truly special and unforgettable moment in the courtyard. The castle will also be projected ruby red to help mark the anniversary.
The Moonlight Walk, which starts and ends at St. John’s Hospice, is a 16km walk that takes in some of the sights and landmarks of Lancaster and Morecambe, offering several opportunities for people to remember loved ones en route. This year, a shorter 8km route has also been introduced, with both taking in Lancaster Castle.
If you have a connection with the St. John’s Hospice team, you can submit your words via this form.
You can also sign up for the Moonlight Walk, taking place on the evening of Saturday 13 June, at this link.
As a Lancaster company, we are truly honoured to be a part of this meaningful moment of togetherness. Our thanks to the brilliant St. John’s Hospice team for inviting us to be involved in this special event and for the vital work they do for the community, in Lancashire, the South Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire. The money raised through events like the Moonlight Walk make all of their hard work possible.
