War of the Worlds: Rehearsal Photos & Trailer

With our first night under our belts, we’re excited to share with you the first production images for our brand new retelling of H. G. Wells’s sci-fi classic War of the Worlds.
Taken by photographer Ed Waring, the images feature actors Bonnie Baddoo, Morgan Bailey, Gareth Cassidy and Amy Dunn, and showcase the dynamic combination of live performance, camera trickery, miniatures and models, and the brilliant design work from the creative team.
The production is currently at Cast in Doncaster, where it will run until Saturday 7 February before heading out on tour to BEAM, Hertford (February 13-14), The Dukes, Lancaster (February 18-21), Lowry, Salford Quays (February 25-28), Liverpool Playhouse (March 4-7), New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich (March 11-14), Belgrade Theatre, Coventry (March 18-21), Leeds Playhouse (March 25-28), Stadttheater Schaffhausen, Switzerland (April 7), Theater Winterthur, Switzerland (April 9), Theatr Clwyd, Mold (April 15-18), Blackpool Grand Theatre (April 22-25) and The Arts Theatre Cambridge (April 29 – May 2).
A huge thanks to the teams at Cast and Lancaster Arts for facilitating rehearsals (the latter via Nuffield Theatre at Lancaster University) since the start of the new year. It feels great to get the ignition turned on this unique road movie brought to life on stage.
