We’re delighted to announce that Gareth Cassidy will be performing live as C.S. Lewis in our brand new installation piece Dear Joan… at Light Up Lancaster this November.
Gareth’s a familiar face in Lancaster, having performed in several homegrown productions for The Dukes, including park shows (such as this summer’s The Wizard of Oz and the UK Theatre Award-winning The Hobbit), Christmas adaptations and local stories, such as The Life and Times of Mitchell and Kenyon, written by Lancaster-resident Daragh Carville.
For our new video-mapping projection piece, Gareth stars as Narnia author Lewis as he writes a letter to an avid fan, only to be interrupted by an unexpected visitor that he simply can’t ignore…
Dear Joan… appears throughout the festival on November 6-8, and Gareth will join us for a live performance at each showing of the installation. Find out more about Dear Joan… here.
