FREE War of the Worlds Learning Resources

8th October 2025 by Lauren Randall

Our FREE War of the Worlds Learning Resources are up and running!

To accompany our brand new touring production, which hits the road in February 2026, we have brought together a collection of study materials, classroom activities, recommended reading and more into one free learning space, right here on our website.

It’s already a wide variety of resources – and we’re not done yet! More content will be added to the space as the show and tour develop.

This hub is an online space where schools, colleges, higher education groups and other learners can explore a deeper insights into the creative choices and influences behind the production, discuss themes and response, and consider what it means to adapt iconic literature, such as H.G. Wells’s ground-breaking novel.

These Learning Resources currently include information about imitating the dog and the work that we do, connections between our production and the curriculum, a collation of the reading, film and visual materials that have influenced our retelling, and pointers for consideration and discussion before, during and after watching the show.

And keep an eye out for blogs, Q&As, and video content to come over the coming months too.

If you are interested in further education opportunities, we also provide bookable workshops – details of which can be found here.

War of the Worlds has an age guidance of 14+ and is on tour from February 2026. The production is supported by Lancaster Arts and Cast, Doncaster.
