All Change – Photographs

31st March 2025 by Lauren Randall

This weekend saw us deliver All Change, a special, one-night-only, open-air performance and drone show that helped launch the S&DR 200 Festival – and what an incredible experience it was.

Created at the magical Kynren site, in collaboration with Movement Directors, Rocky Norton and Katie Pearson and featuring a fleet of 400 drones from the remarkable SKYMAGIC, All Change brought together projection-mapping, original music and live performance to celebrate 200 years of history, innovation and transformative impact of the modern railway on our lives and landscapes.

Audiences were invited to hop on board this journey through time at the spectacular 11 Arches arena in Bishop Auckland, a stunning backdrop under the night sky. The stars of the show were 140 fantastic volunteers, 60 of whom performed in the show itself, playing a vital role in telling the story of their area, its heritage and its influence.

A huge thank you to the organisers, venue, volunteers, creatives, cast, technicians for a fantastic voyage of discovery, artistry, collaboration and community.

The launch night also included live graffiti from Durham Spray, sound installation Whistle by Steve Messam and the Infant Hercules choir also on the bill, in a packed launch for S&DR200 Fest. The festival, which celebrates the first train journey on the Stockton to Darlington line, will last for nine months, with more info about events here.
