imitating the dog are delighted to be taking our installation LEAP to this year’s Light Up Wakefield festival, taking place on November 17-19.
Originally commissioned by Lakes Alive, Kendal in 2019 for projection onto the Abbot Hall Art Gallery, and installed at Lancaster Castle for Light Up Lancaster 2021, the popular piece combines beautiful video-mapping, inventive storytelling, uplifting original music and live singing from Jenny Chamberlain Smith.
Set against the backdrop of the first moon landing in 1969, the show tells the magical story of a phone conversation across time and between generations, taking the audience on a journey across the sky, into the dark, into the night and into the future.
