DigiLab 2024: In Photos
28th November 2024
September saw us deliver the brand new video-mapping adventure Follow Me Into for Bartholomew Fair 2023, in the City of London. Frequent ITD collaborator Ed Waring was on hand to take some photos of the installation in action.
Using projection wizardry and more than a touch of spectacle, Follow Me Into wove a magical story through the City of London at night – that of a child embarking on a quest across its landscape to encounter figures from the city’s past, each with a story to tell and a talent to pass on.
Commissioned by the City of London Corporation for Bartholomew Fair, the piece told a different part of its story on separate buildings, creating an extraordinary journey across the City of London’s forgotten streets and hidden squares. Visitors could choose to follow it in one night, revisit it on others or simply be surprised by projections as they took in the fair!
Dating back to the 12th century but last held in 1855, this 2023 reimagining of Bartholomew Fair was about bringing a modern twist to a historic event, celebrating the City of London’s heritage and contemporary culture.
imitating the dog was one of a number of artists involved in the fair, and you can read more about our involvement through the blogs on our Follow Me Into project page.
