9th April 2018 by Simon Wainwright

We’re looking for a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. The advert is below, if you’re interested then please get in touch with Julie, email below.

Makers of world class theatre and digital performance

Board Member (Treasurer) Sought

imitating the dog (ITD) is at an exciting stage in its development. The company, which makes cutting edge theatre, site-specific digital projection and education programmes, joined Arts Council England’s National Portfolio in April 2018.

The company has established a board led by David Dolan Martin as Chair. We now have an opportunity for one additional person to join our new governing board and take on the role of Treasurer. This is a key element of our organisational development as the ITD board are the ‘guardians and conscience of the company’ as well as critical friends and advocates, making sure we perform to our best legally and financially.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with financial management skills to take on the role of Treasurer. Whilst day-to-day financial management is carried out by paid staff, the Treasurer is responsible for: overseeing the company finances; advising the board on financial matters; supporting the Executive Director on financial matters; advising on compliance with financial policy and preparing a Treasurer’s Report for the AGM and appointed auditor or independent examiner for the annual review of accounts.

Please note that this is an unpaid, voluntary opportunity.

ITD is committed to equality. We welcome applications from people with a disability and / or who identify as BAME, as these voices are currently under represented on the board and within the company.

For further information or to apply (by submitting a CV and letter outlining your interest) contact Julie Brown, our Executive Director julie@imitatingthedog.co.uk

Applications must be made by 10am on 4th June 2018.
