UK to Italy

UK to Italy

Writing this from the ‘digs’ in Rome – it’s an apartment by the river but we can call it ‘digs’ still I suppose – and it’s been a busy 7 days for the company and no mistake. So the last time we posted was Manchester and we’ve been to Birmingham Rep and The Old Market, Brighton since and had an incredibly good time at both venues for some of the same and for some of the different reasons! Tweeted this already but to reiterate: on this tour we’ve met and worked with some truly brilliant people who are excellent at their jobs, dedicated, good-hearted, generous, passionate.

And now we’re fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take the show to Italy, where ‘A Farewell to Arms’ is of course set, opening in Rome at Teatro Vascello then on to Ancona and Teatro delle Muse from the 4th – 7th followed by one performance only in Terni at Teatro Secci on the 9th and one performance only in Bergamo at Teatro Sociale on the 11th. We’ve managed to see some of the sights in Rome, had two sold out performances and now the tech team are driving through the night to Ancona so the set and tech can be up and running on time for a 2045 show tonight. And we hear the theatre is huge to cavernous. Cannot WAIT.
