In 1968 The Night of the Living Dead, George Romero’s classic horror film, was released. It became a classic of the zombie genre, watched by millions worldwide and has spawned countless imitations and spin-offs.

50 years later, a group of intrepid Bradford/Yorkshire theatre-makers attempt to remake scenes from the film, shot-for-shot in real time, before your eyes. They’ve had a week to plan and knock together some props, costumes, wigs and basic scenery, using what they could find. They expect to fail spectacularly.

Following a residency with acclaimed digital theatre company imitating the dog, using the original film as source material, the participants become actors, directors, camera operators, prop-makers and set designers. And, of course, zombies.
