The Workshops

The workshop programme runs alongside the making and touring of the show. The workshop is structured around the development and exploration of narratives, and how they can be explored, developed and enhanced technologically. Below are the video presentations from workshops already completed. If you took part in the workshop and wish to download the video to keep please visit our Vimeo site.

We invite you to participate in the theatre workshops that will take place 1-15 September, as part of the programme "Tales from the Bar of Lost Souls". They are addressed to drama school students, young actors and directors between 17-30 years old, as well as to theatre lovers.

The workshops will engage the participants with new multimedia techniques (video, sound, cell phones) and it will be a unique opportunity for experimenting on new theatrical forms and the use of new technology in theatre practice. Part of the material developed during the workshops in Athens (video, images, stories) will be presented on the website of the programme and used as a source material for the workshops/performances in Cyrpus and UK.

The workshops are an integral part of the development process of the actual performance Tales from the Bar of Lost Souls, which will be presented initially in Athens (16-20/9), then in Cyprus (24-26/9) and finally on a UK tour beginning of 2010.

The candidates are requested to send their CV and a photograph by Friday 14th at the email address: interdept@n-t.gr or to the postal address: National Theatre, International Relations Department, Ms Irini Moundraki, 42 Satovriandou, 104 37, Athens, with the reference "Tales from the Bar of Lost Souls".
